Active noise control

ANC.jpg

In active noise control (ANC), secondary noise field is generated by ANC controller such that interference of primary and secondary noise field creates desired sound field. In local ANC, noise at some particular locations is attempted to reduce whereas in global ANC, noise levels throughout the cavity is attempted to reduce. I am working to develop the efficient active and adaptive algorithms for local and global ANC in vibro-acoustic cavities and its implementation for various practical applications.

Active vibration control

I am also exploring implementation of active vibration control (AVC) to reduce vibration in automobiles.

System identification using experimental modal analysis

In experimental modal analysis (EMA), modal model of the system is obtained using measured response of the system. I am working to develop innovative techniques of EMA for system identification.
